Single Parents Ministry
Single Parents, this Ministry is here for you. With the help of many dedicated volunteers, every event, activity, game, and lesson we do for kids is done with the goal of helping them build relationships, understand who they were created to be, and know how to have a right relationship with God, for His glory!
The mission of Grace Point is "to make more and better Christ-followers." SPM focuses on learning how to listen and respond to God’s voice through His Word. Each monthly gathering allows time for group discussion and prayer as we explore an authentic relationship with God, ourselves, and others.
The Single Parents Ministry meets once per month following the Sunday morning service. A meal and activities for the children are provided by the Single Parent Missional Community.
Pr. Yves and Pr. Betty Kiringa, having been raised by single parents and also experienced single life, went through many challenges in their youth which they do not wish others to endure. Because of this, they conceived a commitment to help single parents, spinsters, bachelors, and others cope and overcome the challenges of single life.

Our Vision
The Single Parents Ministry is designed to support, encourage, and empower mothers and fathers who are raising children as single parents. Our goal is to provide a loving community where single parents can grow spiritually, find practical help, and experience God’s grace in their family journey.
To see all singles evangelized and discipled under God’s deliverance, building their lives on uncompromised Biblical principles in truth, excellence, integrity, and compassion, and becoming partners in God’s perfect will.
The number of singles continues to increase worldwide, presenting a growing challenge for the church. For instance, in Canada, single-parent families rose from 1.57 million in 2008 to 1.78 million in 2020, with 80% headed by women. Because of this prevalence, Build the Bridge Fellowship International Ministry has developed solutions grounded in the truth and hope of God’s Word.
Objectives:
- Spiritual Strengthening: Help single parents deepen their relationship with God through Bible study, prayer support, and discipleship.
- Emotional Encouragement: Provide a safe space for healing, counselling, and fellowship, where single parents feel understood and valued.
- Practical Support: Assist with parenting guidance, life skills, workshops, and helpful resources for everyday challenges.
- Family Stability: Strengthen family relationships by offering guidance on raising children, communication, discipline, and faith-building at home.
- Community Connection: Build a supportive church family that walks alongside single parents without judgment.
Messages and Activities
Some of the messages we preach and activities we do to address these challenges include:
- Message of Hope, Comfort, and Healing from past experiences and trauma
- Biblical training to transform the inner and outer person
- Creating a platform to connect like-minded believers
- Discipleship to equip them to serve the Lord
- Counseling and spiritual guidance
- Overcoming loneliness and abandonment
- Addressing circumstances due to death, abandonment, or broken relationships
- Breaking ancestral bondages
- Overcoming sexual sins, witchcraft, and sorcery
- Deliverance of soul and mind
Bachelorhood and Spinsterhood
These are other categories of singles we address in our ministry. We teach the causes of marriage delays, how to overcome them, and how to develop a deeper intimacy with God through prayer, fasting, fellowship, reading the Word, and self-examination.
Many men and women have missed marriage opportunities for spiritual and personal reasons. They are often misjudged instead of helped to find solutions. However, we believe God has a good plan for everyone, regardless of their current situation.
Youth
At Build the Bridge Fellowship, we preach distinct and coherent messages about relationships to the youth, preparing them for a godly marriage that aligns with His will.
